services. City Prosecutor Thomas Anderson
Criminal prosecution of adults
committing petty misdemeanors, misdemeanors, and most gross
misdemeanors. Prosecution of juvenile traffic offenders. City Attorney Christopher Hood Provide legal advice to Mayor, Council
and Department Heads Prepare and/or review City contracts;
ordinances; resolutions; bonds; insurance certificates; licenses. Commences and handles civil litigation
not handled by the City's insurance carrier. Serves as legal counsel for the City
owned Municipal Utilities and Rice Memorial Hospital.
